Tutorial on how to update firmware online
First, you need to make sure to connect to the internet the Q9S TV Box, via WiFi or Ethernet connection. Next go to 'My apps' tab and launch 'OtaUpgrade' application (not 'Update&Backup'), click on 'Network Upgrade' and next select 'qintex-ota-20151208.zip' option. The TV Box will download the firmware update in a few minutes, then will reboot in recovery and it will install the new firmware version. You can also download latest Android Lollipop 5.1.1 firmware for Qintex Q9S TV Box from here, here or from here. Next you can copy the zip. firmware archive on a SD card or USB memory flash and use local update method. This time use Update&Backup application, press 'Select' button an choose the firmware from your removable storage, select 'qintex-ota-20151208' image and the pres 'Update' button. The box will reboot in recovery and it will install the new firmware version. The entire process will last about 5-6 minutes, so be patient.
