Design & Build
You would be pleasantly surprised by the BLUBOO D1’s design and build quality from a device in this price range. Coming with metal unibody made of aircraft grade aluminum alloy, the D1 definitely looks and feels like a premium device, not like a cheap one at all. The curves on the front and the back make it much easier to hold as well. On the front we find the selfie softlight, breathing light and capacitive buttons that do not light up below the screen. On the back we find the dual cameras, dual LED flash and a fingerprint scanner which is quite easy to reach.

Display
The 5.0-inch HD Sharp display on the BLUBOO D1 is pretty amazing, it presents rather saturated colors and crisp text and pictures, making it a pleasure to look at. And view angles are great and the touch screen panel is responsive and accurate, fully meeting the needs of daily usage.

Hardware & Performance
The BLUBOO D1 is powered by a MediaTek MTK6580A CPU paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, as any smartphone in that price-range should. Overall the user experience is smooth and fluent, apps open without any shutters and multitasking is also not a problem, you can leave apps open in the background and find them in the right place after a while. If you care about the benchmarks, the phone scored 24,254 on AnTuTu.

256GB Expandable Storage
The BLUBOO D1 can accommodate two Micro SIM cards and a microSD card with 256GB expandable storage support, allowing users to have plenty of space to store photos, movies, music and apps. In the video, we inserted a 128GB TF card, which turned out to work well.12

Fingerprint Scanner Usage
The fingerprint sensor on the back is quite fast, it can unlock the phone with ease in less than 0.1 second. The speed is more than good enough for daily use. Meanwhile, the fingerprint scanner can store up to 5 different fingerprints and is capable of 360° fingerprint recognition. And the sensor’s accuracy is pretty decent as well.

Dual Rear Camera
On the rear, the BLUBOO D1 sports a 8.0MP main camera along with a 2.0MP camera. In “normal” camera mode, the camera takes higher-quality pictures compare to other phones in this price range. The photos excels in good clarity, rich colors and high brightness. In “DSLR” camera mode, the main camera captures still images while the subsidiary camera captures bokeh information, allowing you to get refined photos with sharp foreground and blurry background. In addition, the rear dual LED flash lights help illumine your images in low-light conditions or at night, creating clear, bright photos for you.

Front Camera with Selfie Softlight
The BLUBOO D1 makes it possible for you to take bokeh-effect selfies, a 5.0MP camera plus a secondary camera for creating depth-of-field effects. Another pretty significant upside is the selfie softlight which casts a soft even light across the whole image, gives you bright and glossy complexion. The selfie experience is quite

Breathing Light
There is a breathing light on the front, which glows from dark to light in different colors for different types of messages to ensure that you’ll never miss that next important message. With a glance instead of waking up the screen, you will find out whether there are missed messages or not. Very considerate and convenient.

Conclusion
Judging a smartphone for its price and functions as a whole, and the BLUBOO D1 is definitely one of the most decent, budget Android smartphones around. It surely deserves your attention if you are searching for an affordable dual camera phone with some decent specifications.
